Abstract.
In active structures applications the fluid-structure interaction is
often an important problem, especially for the problem of vibration
and noise reduction. The impact of fluid loading on the vibration of a
structure is essential in submarine applications. For fluid-gas
coupling, the fluid loading is often neglected, but this neglection
can result in poor performance of vibration and noise~control.
