Abstract. Dimensionally homogeneous neural networks have been proven to possess several important advantages over dimensional inhomogeneous neural networks. The principal idea of combining artificial intelligence tech-niques with the powerful concept of dimensional analysis opens new per-spectives and possibilities in the identification of adaptive systems and in intelligent control. Some issues in the application of dimensional analysis and neural networks in system identification is investigated and discussed in this paper.
